We pray you & yours have a wonderful time celebrating Christmas. We are so grateful for Jesus' presence in our family. This year has been a struggle for us in a few pretty intense ways but w/o Him in our lives, I know it would have been horrible. He is so faithful to us & has overwhelmingly provided all we need & still allowed us to be able to give. I look forward to being able to watch my children's faces when they open their gifts tomorrow & the next day... I can hardly wait, nor can Alex & Ireland obviously.

Last weekend Brandon & I took the girls to Bellevue, to enjoy some of the Holiday festivities. First we went for a walk through the beautiful Bellevue park to the ice skating tent they put up every year. Brandon & Ireland skated, while Mel & I had a great time watching. The two of them had a lot of fun & only managed to fall a few times! After the skating we walked around Bell square & did a little bit of shopping & enjoyed dinner together @ Red Robin. @ 7 every night during the holiday season on Bellevue way they do something called Holiday Lane. Ireland's cousin was performing as a drummer boy, so we went watch. We had so much fun, it was fantastic, we all had a blast! I have never seen Mel so HAPPY, she was pointing constantly @ everything. I can't even tell you how fun this was... you just need to go. They even make it snow. We highly recommend going. The only thing missing this day, was Alex (he went to visit Grandma & Grandpa Tillman's house).

We love going to Bremerton & being @ Grandma & Papa Prescott. Time seems to slow down there for us. All the kids love being together & we all love watching them enjoy life. We got to go for Thanksgiving weekend & while we were there we enjoyed a relaxing Thanksgiving meal with just us & Grandma & Papa... A birthday party for Phillips 13th/ Madison's 9th... We got to finally meet Sydney the beautiful(she really is just like her Momma n sissy) & hang out with the Gunter's who we miss so much since they moved away to Utah. @ one point in the weekend 10 of the 15 grandkids were there!

Alex picked out our tree this year. I love all our ornaments, that are from the kids over the years, my favorites are; one of Alex when he attended the City Church preschool @4. It is a frame made out of animal crackers (all of them are pretty much chipped off) & a picture of him in it w/ his hand over his heart. When I picked him & the frame up they informed me that they did not tell him to place his hand on his heart. That is so his sweet lil personality. My favorite from Ireland is a tiny terracotta pot turned upside down & converted into a bell covered in plastic jewels, with her precious little picture on it. She made it in preschool @ Surry Downs in bellevue @3. This year we were @ the mall & saw a kiosk that had porcelain ornaments & a sign that said "FREE PERSONALIZATION!!!"... We picked out a piano for Mel's 1st, filled out a paper showing him how to spell her name & he busts out a sharpie LOL. We will cherish the ornaments forever & look forward to all the ones to come.

Well that sweet little boy of mine turned 12. Honestly 12? WOW.
I digress; he is still the same as that boy in the picture with his hand on his heart (heart on his sleeve). We cherish him so very much. We are so thankful that so many people came & celebrated his birthday with us & made it such a wonderful day, Thank you all!

My little lover boy has so much love to give & when we heard our friends were re-homing their hypo-allergenic devonrex cat Kitty we jumped on the opportunity to let Alex have a pet. In this picture he is in shock, as we tell him this kitty is his. It took him a full minute to grasp the reality. Alex is so grateful for his Kitty & takes (as we expected) loving care of him!

Last night was Ireland's school school play. She was so thrilled to get the part, as the ghost of Christmas past. She was the best one in the play. She looked adorable, spoke clearly & loud. It was such a blessing seeing her along with a ton of other members of her family. She was so grateful for everyone coming to see her.

Ireland finished soccer for the year. It was so fun watching her this year! She especially excelled @ goalie, making numerous awesome stops on the ball. She is unsure about next season talking seriously about wanting to join a drama troop instead -which we all know she would undoubtedly be a natural @. Today was the last day of a 2 day tourney for the league. They played @ the new Snohomish Co. High school called glacier peak, this school had an amazing view, I can only imagine how beautiful it would be if the weather was not so grey.

On Thursday Alex's play (Cinderella) opened! It was something the entire middle school cast was working hard for after school @ least twice a week, for the last 3 months. Alex was really cute, great, talented, amazing, perfect... anyway I' am proud. We really appreciate everyone who came & supported Alex, it was really a blessing to share. We are looking forward to the upcoming spring play tryouts.

2009 soccer is coming to a close. Ireland has flourished as a goalie. Now its off to the tourney next weekend, we will see how that goes. It has been fun watching her this year. This year the team seems to be starting to understand techincal asspects. She has loved being goalie & getting down & dirty!

I would just love to state for the record... that Alex is such a sweet brother. He reminds me of my brother Trev & we could all only be so lucky.

Also I made these Pumpkin pie bars for some friends & they were great!

So, I love my Godfathers recipe for zucchini patties & almost felt guilty for trying Joy's... but I did it (shhhh). It was so good I enjoyed the lack of parm actually & also I love the grilled onions in this one. Also they were a hit w/ a huge group of my friends! Tonight I made them for just us & started them in my cast iron skillet, which did not work good (much better in non stick). Tonight I also used 1/2 zuch 1/2 squash & it was yummy too.

Alex was asked by his drama teachers to play one of 2 parts in the schools Veteran's day assembly. It was disturbing to see him in the wheel chair (a feeling I did not expect). I was proud to see him participating & he was stoked to miss 3 periods. LOL

My beautiful kids are all growing so fast. Alex will be 12 on December 6th Ireland is 9 & Melody is 9 months, WOW. Even though I take my camera everywhere I wanted to foucus on the three of them together. The pictures turned out beautiful, I will cherish them forever!!!

I' am equally as proud of my cousins, as with all veterans (so proud & grateful). My brother in law currently serving in Iraq, my Father had agent orange after being in Vietnam & died of skin cancer when he was very young & I was 3. My Step-father & Grandpa also served. I have many friends who have been to Iraq & Afghanistan now 2 & 3 times, friends who sacrifice years without there husbands.

So this year Ireland is starting a select baseball team. She seemed to take the physical butt kicking they gave her on friday really well... Until tonight after a full day of soccer then playing a bunch @ her brother Jack's 1st birthday. Tonight she was hurting. I think it is going to be amazing for her this year on this new team. I know she is going to grow a ton. She hopes to get a scholarship with softball someday! I think she will.

I' am one of those people who thinks that breast milk is liquid gold for my little one. I'm so grateful that all my kids were able to breastfeed w/o any compliclations. I have not had much success with pumping this time around. I was discussing this with another mom friend of mine & about how I wish I had a stock of some in the freezer. I would like to have extra for if she gets sick or just to throw some in cereal, since she is in the low attention span for feeding phase (as it seems most 9 month olds go through). Well my friend gifted us this & I think it is such a special gift!

Well, even after bringing the leftover 80 sugar cookies to my mom's, for everyone to decorate I still ended up with what seems like a ton more +extra dough... I decided to make mini fruit pizzas. I followed a new recipe that has fluff mixed w/ cream cheese... I honestly prefer the plain cream cheese, vanilla & sugar recipe better. They are pretty though & I hope my community group enjoys them & EATS THEM ALL.

Today @ baby reading group (@ the library) Mel ventured off to play for the first time. So far, she has always enjoyed everything from my lap or close to it. As soon as they dumped out the toys, off she went. I was so proud; then a wave of sadness also passed through me about it. She is growing soooo fast (:

So little Ms. Mel Veil is better today after being stung on her nose on Saturday @ the soccer game. The swelling of her eye is almost completely down. Thank God we were obviously frightened @ the time. Come to find out you are never allergic to anything the first time your body experiences it.
I wanted to post this not so great picture of her having her breakfast. I think this is a genius way to let her have her breakfast. She always wakes up starving. As she feeds her itty bitty self with relatively little mess, I enjoy my coffee & granola (occasionally I even shower, aaah). We are both better off after this!

This was a fun project, that had me looking @ things in a different way. I took these @ my moms house mostly outside. I look forward to doing this with the kids soon, I will post them as well!

Being over the kitchen when it came to making dinner, my sweet boy volunteered to make a revoltingly delicious dinner. He made rotten bloody fingers, YUMMY!

Today I made a ridiculous amount of sugar cookies, for the middle schools harvest festival tomorrow night. My mom & I are working the cookie decorating booth. Tomorrow I will go to grocery stores & try to talk them into donating a bunch of frosting, I feel slightly nervous about humbling myself in this way, but it is a good lesson for me I think.

Yesterday Brandon & I went to Alex's parent teacher conf. Nothing they said was a shocker as we are more than aware of how well he is doing! Mel was soooooo bored by the time we were waiting to talk to his 6th teacher when I took this hillarious pic w/ the blkbry. LOL

Tuesday I made my first tutu for Ireland's costume (I hope she likes it). It was pretty simple. I look forward to making more in the future. I will post a picture of her in her complete costume asap.

Monday night Ireland & I went to her panther pal's volleyball game. The game was fun, Dooda learned what bump, set, spike is! I miss playing. Ireland snapped this great pic.

On Saturday the baby in my family turned 13. (WOW) She is turning into such a lovely lady! We had a wonderful party for her @ the delicious Bucca Di Beppo & afterward she got the best present could be... Frankie surprised us all with a visit! We were ALL so happy to see Frankie, Julia, baby Clayson & 3 week old Josiah. I love being with all my sissies & its getting to more & more fun the more cousins there are (the more the merrier)!

Our weekend started off rainy... although that didn't stop the kids from enjoying the great outdoors. Ireland learned how to use a sewing machine & made Aunt Joy a great gift. I captured a sweet moment between Mel & Brandon (what a awesome Daddy)!

Grateful for it all.

On the 12th I woke up to a long awaited text. My little sissy Frankie was having her baby boy. So Mel & I got up before the sun & ditched the boys & headed off on our 5 hour journey to Oregon.

Ireland recently got paired up with a local high school student, called a panther pal. I was excited that they seemed to be very similar in interest. I think Ireland liked her a lot too!

I got a call from the school counselor the other day, she was calling to tell me how great Alex is doing & that she would really like to move him to the hard program. I was so happy for him as he has been working hard! He is such a good boy.

Recently we went over to Terry's & she taught me how to make cobbler. Now I can cook for days... but baking is something I' am kinda intimidated by. The cobbler was way easy and soooo good! While I was there she gave a sewing machine & a beautiful desk for it. I made my first project from an old t- shirt of Alex's... Not perfect, but pretty sweet. I look forward to many more projects. Thank you Terry!

We have been going to the baby reading time @ the library twice a week, almost as fun as the little gym & best of all its F-R-E-E. Melly is now drinking from a straw.

When I was a kid, growing up around here we had several stories of these tombs @ the Evergreen Cemetery. People 'saw ghosts walking in the windows or around the cemetary itself'.
Well I took a wrong turn yesterday & ended up revisiting this old stomping ground.
Also a eery rumor... They say this about the Rucker mansion: The Rucker mansion is haunted by Mrs. Rucker, who committed suicide by jumping from the bedroom window on the top floor. Sometimes she can be heard playing the grand piano when no one is in the room.
Nonetheless this is fact: The Rucker Tomb is a historical landmark in Everett Washington. The tomb was built in 1907 by the Rucker Brothers to honor their mother, Jane. The granite pyramid is 50ft tall and houses the remains of several Rucker family members. The Rucker family is one of the prominent pioneer families of Everett, WA.

I have to admit I enjoyed photgraphing &visiting this cemetery, I have always found them peaceful.

On the way to the car I saw these inscriptions on a wall that made me think of my John Daddy.

Now, I kinda knew you were not supposed to take pics, but until someone informed me indefinatly (& they did) I took a few.
Every night w/o fail Ireland prays for "sweet dreams or no dreams @ all".

Now this saturday happened to be free @ SAM so we had to go. I was thrilled. The featured artist was Andrew Wyeth (ammmazing).

After the 5k, next was Dooda's soccer game. We had a blast watching the team play a great game. Ireland scored her 1st goal!!!!!! They won!

After the little Gym, it was off to the Evergreen Middle School unity w/ the community 5k, for Alex & Ireland! They loved it. I think the were as proud of themselves as we were of them for doing it.

I think you can tell alot about a person by the toppings on their pizza & how they arrange them. This is more fun than you would expect it to be. Yummy & healthier than pre-made.

@ 6:45 I was sending Buddy o/ the door, for a busy day of his own (he looked so cool)... Part of wich included his first school dance! He loved the dance & said he danced pretty much the whole time. The theme was candy land, they played limbo & a bunch of other games. He came home with pockets full of candy & memories to last a lifetime!

After taking a trip to volunteer @ Dooda's school, grocery shopping, then picking up the guys, we went potty shopping for Melody. She tried a few on for size & eventually we settled on the one that had great reviews for girls her age & size.

Before going home & trying o/ the new potty, we stopped for a plane ride!

We are really happy with the baby bjorn little potty.

Alexander

On the 9th my 1st baby started 6th grade (middle school, unbeleivable). He is thrilled for his first school dance next week. He has also been trying out for the school play all week. He even rides off on his own independant as can be. I followed him the first day, even though we practiced for weeks before & we went over all concerns I could muster... Anyway he caught me & rode passed me with a a look of "sereously Motherrrr @#*?" Iam so proud of him, he is doing great!

Ireland

On the 9th Ms. Ireland started 4th grade. She was so excited to wear her brand new authentic cowboy boots. She looked so cute. If you did't know better & saw her that day you would think she owned horses lol. I' am so happy that this year her teachers (yes two teachers) are sweet as pie!

Mel Veil

Changing @ light speed let me tell you. I got my hands full with her lately, trying to keep up with her learning. She can sit up, pull herself up, she is a pro@ crawling & can sign a little... She says Dadda & Hi Dadda. Lately her teething is keeping us up @ night & making my sweetie very grouchy. She eats a ton of food, that I have enjoyed making with my new food processor my Mom gave me for my 30th.

Lastly we are stoked to have moved to Everett, as we have been wanting to do for years.

During an inoppurtune time financially, we walked in faith & He blessed us with better than what we had considered; a 3 bedroom house w/a garage in a wonderful school dist. I will post pics a.s.a.p.

I had a blast swimmin w/ Mel in Papa & Grandma's hot tub! She is a water baby for sure.

We took Ms. Ireland to chop her locks. I was apprehensive, but she insisted & loves it... as do I! (Shes gorgeous) Recently Melody started drinking juice... and she has already figured out how to hold the cup herself.

Also she started sleeping in a crib & loves it (thank you Grandma), graduating from her bassinet.

This years annual Mars Hill picnic @ golden gardens. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day!
